The perfect frost protection The de-energized safety/drain valve automatically drains the water heater if there is a risk of frost. This prevents the system from freezing and ensures that your water supply is safe. Function: The water is drained intermittently under excess pressure via an outlet nozzle if there is a risk of frost (ambient temperature approx. 3°C). Only when the ambient temperature is within the frost-proof range (ambient temperature approx. 7 °C) does the safety/drain valve close again. The valve can also be opened manually AL-3010430
